The 2026 Cordillera Festival kicked off its first day this Saturday, welcoming thousands of spectators who filled the Simón Bolívar area in front of the main stages.
The event’s opening was visually dominated by a massive, illuminated inflatable figure shaped like a jaguar with fuchsia and blue floral patterns, which stood out in the center of the venue and became the visual focal point for those arriving throughout the afternoon under a dense, gray sky.
Technical setup on the main stages of the 2026 Cordillera Festival
Live music was concentrated on the Cordillera and Aconcagua stages, though they weren’t the only ones.
On these stages stood imposing metal structures equipped with arrays of vertical and horizontal LED screens.
As the afternoon gave way to evening, the musical performances ranged from rock bands to Latin rhythms.
On the main stage, high-definition screens displayed the musicians and full bands—complete with wind instruments and percussion—while the audience sang along from the dance floor.
Lighting design played a key role once darkness fell.
The Aconcagua stage came alive with bursts of green, yellow, and purple laser lights that illuminated the crowd.
On the sides of the venue and along the walkways, banners hung from the trees, fluttering in the wind and displaying illustrations and the phrase“The future is Latin,” reinforcing the theme of the music festival.
The closing of the first day
The spacious outdoor areas set up for the public ended up completely packed with a dense crowd that stretched all the way to the edges of the sound towers and control booths.
Attendees stood in front of the colorful visual projections and the interplay of spotlights that accompanied the final chords of the night, bringing the first day’s program to a close.
